What are integrations (and when do they trigger)?
Integrations send your leads to the tools you already use — Kit, ActiveCampaign, MailerLite, HubSpot, HighLevel, ClickFunnels, or any webhook (which covers Zapier and thousands of apps). Connect a tool once in Settings → Integrations, and every funnel in your workspace can use it.
Where integrations trigger
You attach an integration inside a funnel, in one or both of these places:
The signup step. Fires the moment someone signs up, for every new lead. This is the reliable spot for "add to my list" — the lead reaches your tool even if they close the tab right after signing up.
A segment. Fires only for leads matched to that segment, which happens after they finish the form. Use this for follow-up that depends on their answers — for example, tagging leads "beginner" in one segment and "advanced" in another.
Most funnels use both: the main list integration on the signup step, plus segment integrations for tags.
Add an integration
- Go to Settings → Integrations and click Add an integration.
- Pick your tool. Most need an API key; HubSpot and HighLevel connect with a sign-in instead.
- Add a short description if you'll have more than one, like "Main newsletter" — it shows next to the integration when you pick it in a funnel.
- In your funnel, open the signup step or a segment, select the integration, and choose the action — create a contact, add to a form or list, add a tag, and so on. Actions vary by tool.
Good to know
- API keys are encrypted before they're stored.
- Tools that use an API key have a Verify button — click it to confirm the credentials work before you send traffic.
- You can add the same tool more than once (say, two Kit accounts) and use different ones in different funnels.
- Tool not on the list? The Webhook integration connects to Zapier, and through Zapier to almost anything.
