The sign up step
Every AI funnel needs a signup. The AI generates a report for a specific lead — it runs per person, using their answers — so there's no anonymous or public version of the outcome. Before a report can generate, Outcome needs at least an email to attach it to. That's what the sign up step is for.
The Sign Up Step
The Sign Up Step is a form step that collects name and email inside the form flow. Add it from the step picker on the Form tab like any other step. You can edit:
- The step's Title, Description, and Button Text.
- Show name field — turn the name field off to collect email only.
- The Name and Email labels and placeholders.
- A Notice — small print under the fields.
If the visitor is already signed up, the fields come prefilled, so returning leads aren't asked twice. Some funnels collect signup on the Start page instead, with the Signup Form block — it works the same way.
Send the new lead to your email tool
The sign up step has an After this step setting (the Signup Form block calls it After signup). Add an Integration action there and pick one of your connected integrations — the new lead is sent to your email tool the moment they sign up, before they even finish the form.
Integrations can also fire per segment: each segment has its own automations, so you can tag or route leads differently depending on which outcome they matched.
To connect a tool in the first place — Kit, MailerLite, HubSpot, HighLevel, a webhook, and more — see the Integrations articles.
