Signals Steps

Signals are AI steps that run after a lead submits your form, but never appear in their report. The lead sees nothing; you get the output. Use them to score a lead, tag them, pull out key details from their answers, or produce information you send to another tool through your integrations.

Open the Signals list

On the Outcome step, click Signals in the toolbar — the button shows a count, like Signals ( 2 ), once you've added some. A drawer opens with your signal steps.

Add a signal step

  1. Click Add Signal Step in the drawer.
  2. Pick an AI block — the same AI blocks you'd use on the report. A Writer step that outputs "Hot / Warm / Cold" is a lead scorer; one that summarizes the lead's situation in two sentences is a handoff note for your CRM.
  3. Write its prompt like any other AI block. It has the lead's answers automatically.

Run for some segments only

Signal steps run for every lead by default. Every segment shares the same signals list, but on a step's Settings tab you'll find Run for segments — check segments to limit the step to them. Leave all unchecked to run it for every lead.

Good to know

  • Because a signal never renders, it's the right home for anything internal — scoring rules, qualification notes, data you wouldn't want a lead to read.
