Edit the email a segment sends
Each segment sends its own email to the leads who land in it — the email that carries the link back to their report. If you use the email lock, this is the email that unlocks the report, so it's worth making each segment's version match its audience.
Open the email editor
- On the Outcome step, select the segment in the rail on the left.
- Click the Email button under it. The segment drawer opens on the Email + Automations tab.
You can also click Edit and switch to the Email + Automations tab yourself.
Edit the email
The email card (named Access Reminder Email by default) has four fields:
- From — the sender name leads see.
- Subject Line — keep it concrete; "Your marketing report is ready" beats "Congrats!".
- Body — a short message above the button.
- Button Call To Action — the button text. The button link is added for you: it opens the lead's report and signs them in automatically.
Click the save button at the bottom of the drawer when you're done.
Automations below the email
Under the email you'll find Automations — extra steps triggered when a lead enters this segment (for the Default segment, when they match no other segment). Add an integration step here to push segment-specific leads into your email tool or CRM.
Good to know
- Every segment has its own email, so a "beginner" segment can send different copy than an "advanced" one.
- New segments start with a copy of the Default segment's email and automations — edit them so they don't all read the same.
